Micromax and Vodafone’s New Smartphone ‘Bharat 2 Ultra’

On Monday, Micromax launched a budget smartphone called Bharat 2 Ultra for only Rs. 999. The phone was released in partnership with phone operator Vodafone.
The company has offered the user to buy the phone at Rs. 2,899 and then receive two separate cash backs. Once purchased, a minimum recharge of Rs. 150 every month for three years needs to be done to avail the cash back. After 18 months of purchasing the smartphone, the user will receive Rs. 900 cash back. Another 18 months later the user will receive Rs. 1,000 cash back in their Vodafone “M-Pesa” wallet.
Micromax co founder, Rahul Sharma said, “This partnership with Vodafone will bring in the next phase of smartphone adoption by helping consumers to upgrade from feature phones to smartphones.”
He further added, “We want to give superior device experience in an affordable way and ‘Bharat’ range is a testimony of the same, having already sold more than two million handsets.”
The phone holds a 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage with a 2 Megapixel rear camera. Bharat 2 Ultra runs on Andriod Marshmallow operating system with a 1300 mAh battery capacity.
You can pick up your very own Bharat 2 Ultra from stores by the first week of November.
