As expected, Xiaomi sold 40,000 units of Mi 4i in less than 15 seconds in the first flash sale held today on Flipkart. However, only white variant of the phone was available for purchase today and the company has promised to include the other colour variants (blue, yellow and pink) for the next sale.
The phone that was launched last month in India, drew a lot of attention as it came with a very reasonable price tag with almost high-end features.
The Chinese smartphone makers claims to have specially designed the phone keeping India in their mind, which happens to be their second biggest market after China.
The Mi 4i dons a soft touch matte finish with an anti-grease coating. The phone supports dual-SIM functionality, and is comparatively lighter than Mi 4. It sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Corning Concore IPS display, with a pixel density of 441ppi. The smartphone runs MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The phone has a 13-MP rear camera with dual tone flash, along with 5-MP front camera. The phone has an inbuilt storage of 16GB which is fixed and cannot be expanded further, as the Mi 4i h=doesn’t have a MicroSD slot. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Mi 4i packs a 3120mAh battery.
The phone has received good reviews so far from tech gurus and the ultimate review from the owners will soon come in less than a week.
