Mr. Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, is scheduled to attend the ‘Prajasangram Yatra’ organized in April.

On the 20th of March, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Telangana President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced that the BJP Telangana Unit is inviting Mr. Amit Shah for the second phase of the Prajasangram Yatra.  The yatra is scheduled to begin from the 15th of April.  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar said, “We are planning to meet him personally to invite him to flag off the yatra.” 

During an interaction with the media person at the State office headquarters and said they would launch the second phase of the yatra.  He also addressed the paddy procurement issue, which is still going on between the Central Government and the State Government, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)  Referring to Yasangi paddy procurement, Mr. Sanjay Bandi Kumar said the Central Government promised to purchase every grain from farmers in the State.  The Center spent Rs. 84,125 crores in the last seven years for procuring paddy from Telangana.

Furthermore, the Telangana BJP President also addressed the clash between TRS and BJP cadres, over installation of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.  He condemned the highhandedness of the police, who used abusive language against persons who were installing the statue.

Mr. Sanjay said, “In case of any problem, the police officials should resolve it amicably, but they should not use force or abusive language.  Is this friendly policing?”   He also assured welfare activities by the BJP in Telangana.

It is to be noted, the Prajasangram yatra is said to be an effort to strengthen and establish a strong hold of the BJP in Telangana.  Launched in a phased manner, the first leg of the Praja Sangram Yatra was launched on the 28th of August 2021 which continued till October 24th.  Now the second phase of the yatra is scheduled to begin from the 15th of April.
