Asaduddin Owaisi To Organise Human Chain Against CAA

Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM,) is scheduled to organise a human chain in Hyderabad on the 30th of January.

The human chain would stretch from Mohammadi Lines to Bapu Ghat.  The event is organised to support the citizens’ stand against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act [CAA,] 2019.

Asaduddin Owaisi recently conducted a Tiranga rally as a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that citizens of Hyderabad are against the CAA.

The AIMIM President claimed the Act is an anti Muslim law and demanded the withdrawal of the same.  He said the Act provides citizenship to refugees of six communities, but excludes Muslims.

The newly implemented Act gives citizenship to refugees from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who are Jains, Hindus, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs and Buddhists and have been residing in India since or before the 31st of December, 2014.

On the 10th of  January, Mr. Owaisi addressed the public during the Tiranga rally and urged them to be a part of the human chain to support the protests against the CAA.

The human chain is scheduled to be organised on the 30th of January at 11:00 A.M.

Stay tuned for further updates.
