Bandi Sanjay Appointed As New BJP Chief In Telangana

On the 12th of March, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced Bandi Sanjay, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Karimanagar as the new BJP Chief of Telangana unit. 

Sanjay who worked as a Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS) activist from his school days was chosen to be the BJP chief based on his leadership skills and qualities.

Bandi Sanjay served as one of Directors of District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) from 1994 to 2003 and worked for the welfare of the citizens of Karimnagar.  He also was appointed as state BJP vice-president, national executive member and party in-charge to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in his 25-year political career previously.

Arun Singh, the National Secretary of the BJP released a letter which read, “arty national president JP Nadda has appointed Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MP, as Telangana state president and the appointment comes into immediate effect.”

Krishna Sagar Rao, the Spokesperson of the BJP in Telangana, welcomed Bandi Sanjay and said, “I congratulate and welcome the appointment of MP Bandi Sanjay as the State President for BJP Telangana State.”

Mr. Sanjay would succeed K. Laxman, the former BJP President of Telangana Unit.

With this appointment, the BJP also created an image that Party does not discriminate and cleared its stand towards the growth and development of the Backward Class (BCs,) as Sanjay is of the BC category.

The selection of Bandi Sanjay would give a tough fight to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)  . With this the BJP is also eying the next Assembly elections in Telangana and forming Government in Telugu state, Telangana.
