Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President of Telangana, along with Mr. Eatala Rajender, the MLA Of Huzurnagar Assembly, were arrested by Telangana Police.
On the 17th of March, the two BJP leaders were trying to conduct a sit in protest against the recent Telangana State Public Service Commission exam paper leak issue. They were staging protest against the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, demanding a inquiry into the paper leak issue.
The protest was carried out near Gun Park, Hyderabad, Telangana, when the police interrupted the BJP leaders and arrested them.
The arrest came hours after heated argument between the BJP and the Hyderabad Police. Getting into the details, initially the police said that there was no permission for this initiation. However, after taking initiation, there were talks between the police and Bandi Sanjay for a while. After that the police retreated a bit and Sanjay continued the initiation.
Later, the BJP Telangana Unit and its president said, they would enter the TSPSC office, but were stopped by the police, leading to a political ruckus.
