The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive Committee meeting, which started on the 2nd of July, concluded on the 3rd of July, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana.
The two-day NEC meeting was attended by national BJP leaders, ministers, and the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. The grand event organized in the Telugu State of Telangana is said to be a major strategy to not only discuss the 2023 Telangana Assembly Polls but an aim to strengthen the BJP in the Telangana district.
Besides the national leaders, cadres of the BJP and leaders of the BJP from the Telangana unit also attended the two-day event.
During the meeting, the BJP stated that all sections of people are unhappy with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government in the state. After the meeting, Union Minister and BJP senior leader Mr. Piyush Goyal said people have chosen TRS with a lot of expectations that the State would progress but have been disappointed. He alleged that Telangana has become a synonym for corruption and said the Kaleshwaram project cost escalated from 40,000 crore rupees to 1.30 lakh crore rupees just to benefit the State Government and its leaders. Mr. Piyush Goyal further added that the ongoing Palamuru and Nettempadu projects are no different, and much corruption is happening in these projects too.
Furthermore, during the media briefing, Mr. Piyush Goyal also highlighted the recent results of the by-elections held in the Dubbaka Assembly constituency and the Huzurabad Assembly constituency, where the BJP candidate secured victory. He said, these two election results indicate the establishment of the BJP and reflect the downfall of the TRS Government in the Telugu State.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP State President Mr. Bandi Sanjay said the BJP played a major role in the formation of the Telangana State. He further said, the dynasty politics of the TRS is failing to govern the State and letting the people of Telangana down. Mr. Piyush Goyal said, “All ministers, including the CM, are from one family. That one family is running the government; except them, every stratum, be it the Dalits, farmers, poor, or women, is suffering.”
Furthermore, Mr. Piyush Goyal also criticized the alliance between the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS and Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis e Itthadul Muslimeen (AIMIM,) saying the two are looting the State’s people.
Mr. Piyush Goyal said, “Owaisi is the accelerator, brakes, and gear, whereas KCR is the driver. They are both looting the state together.”
Concluding his media briefing, the Union Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal said, they have not witnessed a party as low as the TRS, who not only tried to destroy banners of PM Narendra Modi in the City, but also misused power to create hurdles in the BJP NEC meeting, which concluded successfully on the 3rd of July.
Meanwhile, the NEC meeting of the BJP came to give the next year’s Assembly polls in Telangana.
