The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the 26th of November, released the Party Manifesto for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.

The Party Manifesto assured free travel for women and free COVID-19 tests for all.

The former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis released the Party Manifesto.

According to the released Manifesto, the BJP would scrap the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS.)

In addition, the Party would give Rs. 25,000 to each one of flood affected families, free power to all domestic consumers who utilizes less than 100 units of power in the GHMC areas and one lakh houses to the underprivileged.

Devendra Fadnavis said, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government failed to construct and hand over the double bedroom houses, so the BJP decided to give away one lakh houses to the poor.

Mr. Fadnavis said, “The BJP Government has built 10 lakh rural and 5 lakh urban houses for the poor in Maharashtra.”

The Manifesto also includes free WiFi to all the slums and SC colonies in the City, no charges for permission to construct houses within 125 square yards of land, free 24 hours drinking water supply.

Union Minister for State Home Affairs Kishan Reddy, BJP National General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav, BJP State President Bandi Sanjay and others were present during the manifesto launch event.

All the major parties, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the BJP, the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and the Indian National Congress are contesting in the GHMC elections 2020.

The BJP has planned to deploy senior leaders in key positions to campaign for the elections in Hyderabad.

While Smriti Irani, the Union Minister of Women and Child Development campaigned for the BJP on the 25th of November, Mr. Fadnavis would campaign on the 26th of November.

On the 27th of November and the 28th of November, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and National BJP President J.P. Nadda, would campaign in the City respectively.

Yogi Adithyanath would campaign in Chevella parliamentary divisions and J.P. Nadda would participate in a roadshow at the Malkajgiri Parliament segment.

In addition, Dr. K. Laxman announced the campaigning schedule of the Union Home Minister.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is scheduled to visit Hyderabad on the 29th of November, to campaign for the BJP.

On the last day of the GHMC campaign, Amit Shah would participate in a road show in Secunderabad.

The GHMC elections are scheduled to be held on the 1st of December.

The results of the GHMC elections would be announced on the 4th of December.
