On the 22nd of January, a police constable was arrested in an alleged sexual assault and cheating case.
According to sources, Avulagadda Abhilash Kumar, a constable posted at the headquarters of City Armed Reserve (CAR) allegedly sexually assaulted a 27 year old woman.
An inspector of LB Nagar police station Ashok Reddy, said the woman who was working as a private employee approached them and filed a complaint against Avulagadda Abhilash Kumar Yadav.
Mr. Reddy said, “The accused and the victim were residents of Nagole. They met at a gym and fell in love with each other. Later, the accused sexually exploited the victim against her consent and caused miscarriages by administering pills whenever she became pregnant.”
Speaking about the details, Inspector Reddy said the accused sexually exploited the woman multiple times promising to marry her.
The police produced the accused in a Telangana Court and arrested Abhilash Kumar Yadav under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
The case is in the court awaiting trial.
