Telangana’s increasing Novel Coronavirus cases is a matter of concern for not only the State Government, but the Central Government too.In regard to this, the Government of India decided to send a team to visit Telangana. The team which landed in Telangana on the evening of the 26th of June, would review the situation of the Coronavirus infection in the State, especially in containment zones.
The team is being led by the Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal.
The team would coordinate with the Telangana official in charge of the Covid-19 situation and plan strategies to control the spread.
The officials would also come up with the solution to strengthen the precaution measures and management responsible for control.
With this, the Central team would visit Telangana for the third time since the Coronavirus broke out in India.
A senior official of the health department of India said, “It is not just about testing. The central team has been sent to assess the situation on the ground and present a report. The Centre will then make policy interventions accordingly.”
Besides Telangana, the Central team also visited Gujarat and Maharashtra.
