Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) called the cadres of the party in Telangana, directing them to bring back lost glory of the TDP in Telangana.

On the 2nd of December, Friday, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu called on the cadres of the TDP in Telangana, to not get discouraged by other parties and to remember the works of the TDP during united Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, before 2014.  Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, how under his reign, he worked for the development of Telangana, brought many companies in the Hitech City, developed Outer Ring Road (ORR) and put efforts to make Hyderabad a tech hub of India.  

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu also highlighted his efforts during his government, which led to Telugu State’s development.  With this, the TDP National President asked the party workers to bounce back and bring the forgotten glory of the TDP in Telangana.

Concluding the meeting over video conference, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed Mr. Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj to ensure the TDP unit in Telangana works and strengthens the party in Telangana.

The call out on the TDP cadres to motivate and work towards the growth of the TDP came at a time when the Telangana Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2023.

Besides three major political parties, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress, other political parties like the Communist Party of India, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) would also contest the upcoming elections for a limited number of seats.

Telangana would contest for a total of 119 Assembly seats in the 2023 State Assembly elections, whereas the majority mark to win the elections is said to be 60 seats.

Furthermore, as of now, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is the ruling government of Telangana and its tenure is set to end on the 18th of January 2023.
