Cherlapally To Soon Have Satellite Railway Station

After Hyderabad, Kacheguda and Secunderabad, Telangana is soon going to have one more satellite railway station for the State’s citizens.

On the 18th of February, Piyush Goyal, the Railway Minister of India, visited Hyderabad’s Cherlapally and laid the foundation for the new satellite railway station.

The Central Government is going to invest an amount of Rs. 221 crores for building the new railway station.

After the construction of the railway station, the residents of Telangana would have better railway services.

The decision to inaugurate a 4th railway station in the State came after the Kacheguda, Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations reached their maximum capacity in terms of accommodating passengers and trains.

Besides the satellite railway station, Piyush Goyal also launched WiFi services for 427 railway stations under the South Central Railway (SCR) limits.  He also inaugurated a station in Guntakal-Kalluru, Telangana.

The inauguration event was attended by Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Minister of Animal Husbandry in Telangana and other leaders.
