On the night of the 10th of August, a Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patient committed suicide.
The patient of 60 years old, allegedly hanged himself to death at a private hospital in Malakpet, Telangana.
According to the police, the patient was a native of Karimnagar. He tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus recently and was admitted to a private hospital in Malakpet on the 6th of August.
According to sources, on the night of the 10th of August, the man was found hanging in his room by a hospital staff. The staff alerted the police, following which the police rushed to the spot.
The Chaderghat police have shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy.
Though the reason behind his suicide is not yet known, the police suspect it to be due to depression.
The Chanderghat Police filed a case and launched an investigation.
