COVID-19 – Telangana Police And GHMC Announces 5 Red Zoned Areas

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) on the 28th of March, declared Chandanagar, Gachibowli, Turkyanjal and Kokapet of the Rangareddy district as red zoned areas of COVID-19.

The GHMC officials urged people to follow the lockdown guidelines and be at home and asked to avoid the aforementioned areas as these 5 places are red zoned.

A large police force was deployed to assure no one comes outside their houses for at least 2 weeks (14 days.)

Meanwhile, the Telangana Health Ministry is organising an isolated ward with 1500 beds at Gachibowli Sports Complex. 

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Etela Rajendar, the Health Minister of Telangana and other concerned officials are closely observing the situation and preventive measures taken in the State.

The State Government assured all safety measures and welfare activities for the underprivileged citizens of Telangana.

With these updates, it is reported the number of the COVID-19 cases in Telangana rose to 59 till the 28th of March.
