The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, on the 21st of April, announced to provide incentives to the medical staff, doctors, sanitary workers and police staff.
The “Chief Minister’s Special Incentive” is a recognition of the efforts of these front line warriors working to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 illness in Telangana.
K. Ramakrishna Rao, the Principal Secretary of Finance, issued the orders regarding the same. The incentives of 10 % to their gross salaries would be given to regular, contract and outsourced personnel of the Medical and Health department. Telangana police officials would also get a hike of 10 % in their gross salaries. According to the issued orders, all sanitation workers, medical staff would get Rs. 7,500 extra in their April month salary.
However the incentive would be given to only ones who attended the duties during the month of April 2020 and not to those who were on leave, suspension or unauthorized absence.
The decision would encourage sanitation workers, medical staff, doctors and Telangana police officials to fight against the Coronavirus.
Telangana reported a total of 872 cases of Coronavirus infection with 23 deaths till date.
