Dial 100 For Any Essential Need During Lockdown

The Hyderabad Police, on the 30th of March, issued a notice for helping needy citizens of Telangana, ensuring no one goes hungry in the State due to lockdown.

Anjani Kuma, the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, released an audio message for the citizens of Telangana, to ask for any help during the lockdown.   Commissioner Anjani Kumar in the voice note asked the citizens to dial 100 and inform about any kind of issues they are facing during this lockdown period.

The step was an initiative of the Telangana Police and Telangana Government, so no one in Telangana goes hungry.

As per the directives of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana the issue came in public.  The issued order said, “Our personnel are reaching out to people who are hungry and providing them with essential commodities directly or through voluntary organizations. If anyone comes to know about someone without food, immediately Dial 100 and inform us.”

In addition, Mr. Kumar also asked the people to inform the police if anyone is selling the essential commodities at a higher rate.

 The notice came in the wake of the Nationwide lockdown imposed from the 25th of March, as a preventive measure to fight the Novel Coronavirus.

The lockdown is announced till the 15th of  April.
