On the evening of the 9th of December, the Hyderabad Police shifted the bodies of the four accused in the Disha rape and murder case to Gandhi Hospital.

After the Telangana High Court directed the Telangana Police to preserve the bodies of all the four accused until the 13th of December, the Police shifted the body from the Mahabubnagar District Hospital to the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad due to a lack of required facilities.

On the 9th of December, the Telangana High Court reviewed a petition filed against the Cyberabad Police team which killed the four accused in an encounter.

The bodies of the four suspects are identified as Mohammed Pasha, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu.

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also took suo moto cognizance against the Cyberabad Police team and launched an investigation for the same.

On the evening of the 9th of December, the NHRC team examined the dead bodies and interacted with the families of the 4 accused.

After the NHRC’s investigation and the SC’s verdict, it would be decided if the explanation given by the Police about killing the accused in the encounter are justified or not.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to review a petition against the Telangana Police on the 11th of December, whereas the Telangana HC is going to review the petition on the 13th of December.
