In a major setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Dubbaka Mandal President Mr. Arige Krishna, joined the opposition, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)
On the 11th of November, Mr. Arige Krishna, resigned as the Mandal President of Dubbaka, quit the BJP and joined the TRS in the presence of Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Health Minister of Telangana.
Mr. Arige Krishna, who was a close associate of Dubbak MLA M Raghunandan Rao, joined the TRS in the presence of Finance Minister Mr. T. Harish Rao and Medak Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. K. Prabhakar Reddy in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, highlighting about Mr. Arige Krishan, he is a resident of Boppapur village from where Raghunandan Rao hails, said the BJP MLA had done nothing for loyal party workers though they had worked so hard for his victory and said the party cadre were vexed with the behaviour of Raghunandan Rao.
The switch of the party could affect the BJP, which recently lost the Munugode by election against the ruling the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS.
Meanwhile, the BJP and the TRS is working hard to strengthen their respective parties in the Telugu State of Telangana, which is scheduled to hold the State Assembly elections.
The Telangana State Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2023, for which, the TRS, the BJP and the Indian National Congress (INC) is leaving no stone unturned.
