After Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Dubbaka passed away, the MLA position fell vacant.  Mr. Ramalinga Reddy died of cardiac arrest on the 6th of August at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Due to this, the State Election Commission announced to conduct Dubbaka by election.

All arrangements following the guidelines of the Novel  Coronavirus or COVID-19 have been made in the Dubbaka constituency.

The counting started at the Indur Engineering College, Siddipet.

The three major parties in the by election race are: the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)

According to the exit poll, the results would likely be in favour of the TRS and there would be a fight between BJP and the TRS, as the INC is likely to get the least votes.
