Eatala Rajender, the former Telangana Health Minister and a former leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
According to sources, Eatala Rajender is expected to meet J.P. Nadda, the National President of the BJP today, the 31st of May, and is likely to join the Party. Besides J.P. Nadda, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in Telangana, would also attend the meeting in Telangana.
It is to be noted, the State BJP unit cleared the entrance of Eatala Rajender in the BJP, but an official clearance from the Central unit is yet to be given. The news of Eatala Rajender into the BJP came after several rounds of meetings with the opposition leaders. The most recent meeting with the BJP was with the State Home Minister G. Kishan Reddy.
The ongoing issue between the ruling TRS Government and former Minister Eatala Rajender started after he was expelled from the State Cabinet. On the 1st of May, the Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender was expelled from the Health Ministry portfolio and the Party. The decision was taken by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, over the recent land grabbing allegations against Eatala Rajender. After the removal of Eatala Rajender as the Telangana Health Minister, KCR and the Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar are tackling the Wuhan virus situation and the State Health Department.
Meanwhile, an official announcement regarding Eatala Rajender, joining the BJP is awaited.
