Eatala Rajender, the former Health Minister of Telangana, is expected to resign from the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) post. Mr. Rajender who was sacked from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Cabinet is expected to submit his resignation on the 4th of June.
Media sources also speculate that Eatala Rajender would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) soon. He has been meeting senior leaders of the BJP including J.P. Nadda, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and others since the past two weeks. He even flew to Delhi to meet with the BJP National President J.P. Nadda. Mr. Eatala Rajender is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on the evening of the 3rd of June, following which on the 4th of June, he might tender his resignation from the MLA post and membership in the TRS.
The turmoil between the TRS and Eatala Rajender started in May, when K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, removed Mr. Rajender as the Telangana Health Minister. He even ordered a probe against Eatala Rajender in some land grabbing allegations.
However, Eatala Rajender denied the allegations and said it to be conspiracy against him and decided to leave the TRS. After the removal of Eatala Rajender, KCR and the Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar are tackling the Wuhan virus situation and the State Health Department.
Meanwhile, Mr. Eatala Rajender is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party within a week.
