A former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Bharatiiya Janata Party (BJP) I in Telangana tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.
On the 1st of June, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy was tested positive and was sent for the treatment. Besides the MLA, his family members were also including wife, son and daughter-in-law also tested positive and were immediately shifted to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills for COVID-19 treatment.
It is yet to be known, how Mr. Reddy got infected with the virus, as he neither have domestic or international travel history nor is a primary or secondary contact of a coronavirus patient.
However, there are possibilities that he must have came in contact with the virus due to social activities, as he was engaged in many activities like ‘feed the needy’
The last such activity he took part in was organised in Jubilee Hills Hyderabad on the 24th of May.
Meanwhile, doctors said the health condition of the BJP leader and his family members is said to be stable.
