In Telangana’s Secunderabad region, the State Government organized an Arogya Mela at Hara Hara Kala Bhava.  The mela has been inaugurated to mark the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

According to sources, the event has been launched as per the National Health Mission guidelines at every Mandal of Secunderabad.  In this Arogya Mela, the common public, the citizens of the region could get free medical tests done.

As per the government sources, approximately 20 doctors from different specializations are available at the medical fair.  The organizers thanked the state government for inaugurating this program.   In addition, it is reported that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government announced to provide Rs. 500 for Tuberculosis patients.

The K. Chandrashekar Rao Government is putting special emphasis on TB prevention in the State.  To control the situation, the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), a public health programme for early diagnosis and treatment services for TB, has been doubled up in Telangana.  The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) increased the NTEP Drive to make the Telugu State a TB Free State by 2025.  To ensure the State achieves the target, the TRS Government has even formed the State TB Cell.

The IEC Officer Mr. Jitendra S. said that under the NTEP programme, free diagnosis and treatment services would be provided, including Rs. 500 as additional financial support to TB patients’ bank accounts.  The amount would be transferred under the ‘Nikshay Poshan Yojana’ during their treatment period.
