GHMC Elections: JP Nadda Addresses Road Show In Hyderabad

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Jagat Prakash Nadda held a roadshow in Hyderabad on Friday ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.

The roadshow was conducted from the Nagole Chowrasta to Kothapet Chowrasta in the city.

Party workers gathered in large numbers and raised the party’s flags during the roadshow.

Many were seen wearing face masks due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The BJP leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, J.P. Nadda and others campaigned in the City.

Speaking about today’s campaigning schedule, BJP confirmed the arrival of J.P. Nadda. Mr. Nadda held a roadshow in Hyderabad on the 27th of November.

After a two kilometre long roadshow from Nagole Chowrasta to Kothapet Chowrasta at 4:00 P.M., later he addressed a gathering of intellectuals at a hotel here at 7:30 P.M.

The star campaigning strategy of the BJP started with the road show of the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, followed by BJP Youth Wing President Tejashwi Surya and Union Minister, Smriti Irani.

Besides the aforementioned senior BJP leaders, G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Home Affairs Minister for State and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the BJP President of Telangana are campaigning for the GHMC elections.

BJP leaders see the GHMC elections as a semi final before the 2023 Assembly elections, and the party is targeting the state to expand its presence in South India.

The GHMC elections are scheduled to be held on the 1st of December.

The results of the GHMC elections would be announced on the 4th of December. The major parties contesting the GHMC elections are the BJP, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
