The star campaigners of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are all set to campaign for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections in Telangana.
The top campaigners of the BJP include, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, National President of the BJP J.P. Nadda and a dozen othet top leaders.
In addition, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.,) and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, are also expected to campaign for the BJP ahead of the GHMC elections.
The star campaigners would begin campaigning from the 25th of November.
Today, Smriti Irani would address a rally and gathering for the GHMC elections. Ms. Irani would also release the BJP manifesto for the upcoming GHMC elections.
The other BJP leaders to campaign are yet to be finalised yet.
A BJP cadre of the Telangana unit said, “By sending top leaders here, the Party wants to send a strong message to voters that (the) BJP is here to stay, and also compare PM Modi’s administration and CM K. Chandrasekar Rao’s governance.”
The GHMC elections are scheduled to be held on the 1st of December.
The results of the GHMC elections would be announced on the 4th of December. The major parties contesting the GHMC elections are the BJP, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
