The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) announced to open nine additional open gyms in Hyderabad limits.
On the 3rd of January, Tuesday, announced to the inauguration of more open gym parks in the city, which would be a great alternative for the fitness enthusiast. The decision to open more gyms was taken after getting a very good response from the people of Hyderabad.
According to sources, Out of the nine upcoming open gyms, a total of five will come up in the Secunderabad zone while two each will be built in Serilingampally and Kukatpally zones. As of now, there are 137 open gyms, across the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad. A GHMC official said, “Special efforts are being made to promote traditional and modern sports along with exercise through sports fields.” The GHMC official further said, as of now, approximately 45,000 people are getting benefit of these open gyms, which is an initiative taken by the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, promoting health fitness amongst the people of Hyderabad.
These open gyms functioning in Hyderabad under the supervision of the GHMC are equipped with myriad exercise machines including abdominal rider, cross walker, seat twisters, pull chairs, vertical shoulder pull, leg extension, chest pushers, air walker machine, shoulder twisters and circular swings.
