Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana, on the 4th of December, conducted a high level meeting with the Telangana Police.
The meeting was held at the chambers of Mr. Ali in Telangana Bhavan, Hyderabad, Telangana.
The meeting was organised to discuss women’s and children’s safety in the State. Mr. Ali addressed the officials and police personnel and briefed them about the measures which need to be taken to ensure the safety of Telangana’s citizens, especially women and children.
The meeting was organised in the wake of increased crime reports of kidnapping, murders and rapes in Telangana. People are concerned about the safety of women in the City, raising questions about the arrangements for women’s safety.
Recently, Swati Lakra, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Law and Order and Incharge of the Women Safety Wing, intensified awareness programmes with the help of ‘SHE Teams’ and ‘Bharosa Centres’ in Telangana.
P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, E. Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod and other Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ministers were present during the meeting.
The Director General of Police (DGP) of Hyderabad, the Additional Director General (DG) of Police of Hyderabad, the Additional DG of Cyberabad, the Additional DG of Rachakonda and others also attended the meeting.
