The Huzurnagar Assembly constituency is conducting its by election on the 21st of October. The polling started at 7:00 A.M., and will continue till 5:00 P.M.
The Telangana Government deployed police personnel and alerted the Telangana Police to avoid any kind of fights during voting.
Approximately 302 polling stations were set up for 2.36 lakh voters who are eligible to cast their votes in the Constituency.
The major parties contesting the Huzurnagar Assembly bypoll are the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Indian National Congress (INC,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
A total of 28 candidates are in the fray for the Huzurnagar Assembly seat.
Amongst the candidates, S. Saidi Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of the TRS, was the first to cast his vote.
