K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, cancelled his Huzurnagar public rally.
According to sources, Mr. Rao, who was scheduled to visit the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in his chopper, did not get the required permission from the Aviation Department of Telangana.
The Aviation Department, in view of heavy rain in the Huzurnagar region, denied the permission to fly a chopper, due to which, KCR had to cancel his rally.
KCR was expected to leave for Huzurnagar in his private chopper around 12:30 P.M., and campaign for S. Saidi Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the Huzurnagar by election.
The Huzurnagar by election is scheduled to be held on the 21st of October and the results will be announced on the 24th of October.
The major parties contesting the by election in Huzurnagar are the TRS, the INC, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
The date of KCR’s public rally is yet to be announced.
