In Hyderabad, a Hindu Boy was allegedly beaten by five Muslim youths for roaming with a Muslim girl.
Getting into the details, S. Karthik, a resident of LB Nagar, Hyderabad, was in a relationship with a girl, who was a Muslim. The 19 year old Karthik had come to SRT colony at Yakutpura on the 11th of May to meet his girlfriend staying in the old city. Karthik used the mobile phone of a pan shop owner to call his girlfriend and asked her to come near the pan shop. When they were together, the assaulters, identified as Ikram, Mohammed, Nayeem, Sohail and two others, reached there and raised objection to the couple meeting in the area and had a quarrel with Karthik.
Soon the verbal argument turned violent as the five assaulters started beating Karthik with iron rods and sticks, leaving him with serious head injuries. After the attack, the five accused kidnapped Karthik and made an extortion call to his father Narasimha Goud and demanded an amount of Rs. 50,000. However, Karthik somehow escaped and rushed to the police, where he registered a case and named all the accused Muslim youths. The police booked all the five for attempt to murder and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
Mr. A. Madhusudhan Reddy, the Detective Inspector of Rein Bazar Police Station said, “We have registered a case under various sections of IPC and investigation is under way.”
An investigation into the matter is underway.
