The Hyderabad Metro Rail, on the 10th of September, announced the Metro trains will run till late midnight.
The decision was taken to make it easy for passengers to travel during the Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad.
N.V.S. Reddy, the Director of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, said in the wake of Ganesh idol immersion, the trains are likely to run till late midnight. The usual timings of the Hyderabad Metro is from 6:00 A.M., to 10:30 P.M.
The Hyderabad Metro is the easiest mode of travel for commuters, especially those from Miyapur and LB Nagar.
The Traffic Police also issued a notice and closed all the routes of Tank Bund for two wheelers. The riders are advised to take alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
The last day of the Ganesh immersion is the 12th of September.
On the 12th of September, the Ganesh procession will start from Balapur and will cross several areas like Shalibanda, Charminar and others. The procession will end at Hussain Sagar (Tank Bund.)
