The Hyderabad Police gave permission to Y.S. Sharmila, to conduct a hunger strike. Y .S. Sharmila is the sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
Recently on the 9th of April, Y.S. Sharmila officially announced to launch her political party in Telangana. Y.S. Sharmila chose the 8th of July to be her Party launch day as it is the birth anniversary of her father, the late Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy. Y.S. Vijayamma, the mother of Y.S. Sharmila attended the event as the Chief Guest. While the official announcement of her Party was made on the 9th of April, the details, agenda and the name of the Party would be revealed on the 8th of July.
On the event also known as Sankalpa Sabha, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila announced a hunger strike from the 15th of April till the 18th of April. The strike would be for the demand of job notifications for people of Telangana. Ms. Sharmila would be on a hunger strike, demanding 1.19 lakh government job notifications for the citizens and youth of Telangana.
However, the State Police accorded one day only for the strike at Indira Park, from 10:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M.
