At Hyderabad University, approximately 400 students gathered at the premises for the special screening of a BBC Documentary on PM Narendra Modi. The controversial banned documentary India: The Modi Question, screening was organised on the 26th of January, Thursday, by the Student Federation of India (SFI) Hyderabad.
This is the second screening of the controversial BBC Documentary on PM Modi. Recently, a student organisation showed the documentary, India: The Modi Question, without any permission from the University authority.
Meanwhile, taking a dig at the screening, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP,) criticised the screening at the Hyderabad University. They are said to have lodged a complaint against the SFI, for screening the banned documentary.
The Union Government banned the BBC documentary, which claimed to have investigated the 2002 Riots in Gujarat, when Mr. Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The External Affairs Minister said the BBC documentary is nothing but propaganda to tarnish the image of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.
