INC Senior Leader Nandi Yellaiah Passes Away Due To COVID-19

Nandi Yellaiah, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) party in Telangana, passed away on the 8th of August.

Mr. Yellaiah, the Vice President of the INC in Telangana tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

He was admitted to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) and was undergoing treatment for the COVID-19 infection since the past 10 days.

Mr. Yellaiah was declared dead on the afternoon of the 8th of August. He took his last breath at 10:30 A.M.

Born on July 1, 1942 in Bholakpur in Hyderabad, Nandi Yellaiah started his political career as a party worker.

Later he rose to a corporator of municipal Corporation and then served as six times MP in Telangana.

He was the MP of Siddipet five times and one time he was elected as Nagar Kurnool MP.

He also represented Telangana in the Rajya Sabha twice and also was a Member of the Legislative Council during undivided Andhra Pradesh.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed grief and shared condolences to Mr. Yellaiah’s family.

Etela Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana and other ministers also expressed their condolences.
