Hours after Eatala Rajender, the Telangana Health Minister was transferred from his portfolio, opposition’s criticism started.
On the 1st of May, the Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender was transferred from the Health Ministry portfolio. The decision was taken by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, over the recent land grabbing allegations against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Health Minister Mr. Eatala Rajender.
Reacting to the same, Jeevan Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Indian National Congress (INC) said, the land grabbing allegations levelled against Eatala Rajender was a strategy.
According to the INC MLC Eatala Rajender is a senior leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and contender to the Chief Minister post.
Addressing the media, Jeevan Reddy said, the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was unable to digest the popularity of Eatala Rajender as the Health Minister. He said, KCR and his son, K.T. Rama Rao, who is aspiring to become the CM feared Eatala Rajender and alleged him under false matter.
The INC leader even criticised the Medak District Collector A. Harish for telling the media that followers of Eatala have encroached assigned lands without conducting a proper probe.
On the 30th of April, KCR ordered a probe against Eatala Rajender in an alleged land grabbing matter.
According to sources, some farmers of two villages of Medak district, alleged Eatala Rajender, the Telangana Health Minister of grabbing their lands illegally. The matter came to light after a news channel aired reports claiming to have exposed the encroachment of assigned lands by the Health Minister. Meanwhile, villagers of 8 villages in Medak also complained to the CM regarding the same. They said that Eatala Rajender and his supporters forcibly took over their assigned lands to start a poultry industry.
The Chief Minister also said, a detailed report regarding the investigation would be submitted soon after a comprehensive survey. The survey of lands are being conducted on the behalf of Toopran Revenue District Officer (RDO) Ram Prakash. In addition, six teams have been formed to conduct the digital survey at Eatala Rajender’s hatcheries and surrounding assigned lands.
The matter is still under investigation
