K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to conduct a review meeting on the 23rd of October.
The review meeting is scheduled to be held at Pragathi Bhavan at 2:30 P.M., today.
During the review meeting Mr. Rao and other agriculture department officials would discuss the purchase of rainy season crops. In addition the crops to be cultivated under the regulatory farming method during summers, would also be discussed in today’s review meeting.
An official statement regarding the same was released. The statement read, “A policy decision will be taken on the cultivation of maize. The meeting will also discuss how many acres of land were cultivated for maize last year and the rate at which corn got into the market.”
Agriculture, Marketing, Civil Supplies Minister, higher officials, and chief secretaries would participate in the review meeting.
In regard to the meeting, KCR instructed the officials to come with all the data related to crops and regulated farming methods.
Recently, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) announced to adapt regulatory agriculture cultivation as it would benefit the farmers of Telangana. The suggestion to grow crops would be given after research and the inputs by agriculture experts.
The meeting is underway.
