Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Telangana Chief Minister, laid the foundation stone for the TRS Bhavan in Delhi.

On the 2nd of September, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao conducted a special pooja and laid the stone for the construction of the TRS office in Delhi. Mr. Rao is in Delhi on a three day visit, to lay the foundation stone of the new office.

The most awaited TRS Bhavan foundation stone ceremony was a low key affair with only a few leaders of the TRS. The decision to conduct a small ceremony was taken in the wake of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

According to sources, only selected Members of Parliament (MPs,) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and ministers visited New Delhi for the event.

While KCR laid the foundation stone in Delhi, the TRS cadres and leaders in Telangana celebrated the ‘Jhanda Panduga’ on a grand scale. TRS officials and leaders celebrated by hoisting party flags in villages, towns and wards on Thursday.

With this, the construction of the TRS office in Delhi is set to begin. The TRS is going to set its party office in Delhi at 1,300 sq yards, allocated by the Central Government. The location of the TRS office is in Vasant Vihar, near the Vasant Vihar Metro Station, Delhi.

This is considered as a major step for the TRS, a Telugu State party, to establish themselves in the National Capital.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Chief Minister is scheduled to return back to Hyderabad on the 3rd of September.
