K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is going to address a public rally in Nagarjuna Sagar.
KCR would campaign for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the poll bound Nagarjuna Sagar constituency. KCR would address the public rally organised in the Halia area of Nagarjuna Sagar district on the 14th of April. This would be the second public rally of Mr. Rao after the announcement of the Nagarjuna Sagar by polls. The first public meeting was organised at the Assembly constituency on the 10th of February.
The Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) seat of the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency fell vacant after the demise of its MLA. On the 1st of December, 2020, Nomula Narsimhaiah, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Nagarjuna Sagar, Nalgonda district passed away. He died during the early hours of the day while undergoing treatment for prolonged illness. Since then, the constituency has been without a MLA.
In order to regain power, the TRS leaders are campaigning for its candidate, Nomula Bhagat. While Nomula Bhagat is contesting for the Nagarjuna Sagar by polls representing the TRS, Ravi Kumar would contest from the BJP and Jana Reddy from the INC.
Both the TRS and the BJP are in tough competition to win the by polls. The Nagarjuna Sagar by polls are scheduled to be held on the 17th of April and the results would be announced on the 2nd May.
