K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 30th of July, met Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami at the latter’s ashram, situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
KCR is soon going to perform a yagya, the Maha Sudarshan Yagyam, in Yadadri, Hyderabad. The meeting with Swamiji was said to be for the same, wherein KCR discussed with him about the yagya.
The decision to perform the mega yagya was taken for the development of the Sri Lakshminarasimha Temple in Yadadri.
The Chief Minister’s office (CMO,) on the night of the 30th of July, released a statement, “The maha yagya will be conducted with 1,048 yagna kunda (fire altars) over 100 acre area. As many as 3,000 ‘ruthviks’ will perform the rituals and they will be assisted by an equal number of priests.”
The dates of the yagya are not yet finalised. Vaishnavite seers from around the Country and pontiffs from Badrinath, Srirangam, Jagannath and Tirupati will also be invited for the yagya.
