K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Minister, on the 11th of September, visited Telangana Bhavan.
After taking oath as a Cabinet Minister, this was the first visit of KTR, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) to the Telangana Bhavan and he was welcomed by TRS leaders.
On the 11th of September, Mr. Rao met the TRS leaders and chalked out a strategy to contest the upcoming Municipal elections in Telangana.
KTR praised the TRS and its leaders and said the Party is one of the strongest ones in the State with a membership of 60 lakh people.
K.T. Rama Rao said the main target of the Party should be to strengthen the TRS in the State and win the Municipal elections. Being the Municipal Administration Minister, this is a big challenge for KTR.
Speaking about the strategies, KTR said the TRS leaders and candidates should coordinate with the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and local leaders. He also asked the secretaries of the TRS to submit an individual report about the situation in the State.
According to sources, KTR will organise a committee which will work towards the Municipal elections to help the TRS win.
Telangana will conduct its Municipal elections soon. An official notification regarding the dates is yet to be made.
