K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister and the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, on the 5th of November, interacted with Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers.

During the interaction with the IFS officers, KTR requested them to influence foreign investors to invest in Telangana.  He said Telangana is an ideal place for investment.

The meeting was scheduled with the IFS officers who are currently in Hyderabad for the Mid Career Training Programme (MCTP) Phase III course.  The event started on the 4th of November and would continue till the 8th of November at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.

The meeting between KTR and the IFS officers was organised during an annual dinner hosted by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government.

During the dinner, KTR briefed the Indian ambassadors and IFS officers about the industrial policies of the State and the IT sector’s growth in Hyderabad.

KTR highlighted the fact that companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon have their largest base set up in Hyderabad, apart from their headquarters.

Andrew Fleming, the United Kingdom (U.K.,) Deputy High Commissioner to AP and Telangana, was positive about the interaction.  He said it is high time U.K., companies look into the offers of the State and invest in Telangana.

Hyderabad is said to be one of the best cities in terms of IT companies, with an increasing number of investors and job opportunities for youth in the last 5 years.

The IFS officers are expected to be in Hyderabad till the 8th of November.
