Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi tested negative for the deadly Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
On the 12th of November, Mr. Chiranjeevi took his official Twitter handle and confirmed being negative for the virus.
In his tweet, Chiranjeevi wrote, “A group of doctors did three different tests and concluded that I am Covid negative & that the earlier result was due to a faulty RT PCR kit. My heartfelt thanks for the concern, love shown by all of you during this time. Humbled! (sic).”
According to sources, Chiranjeevi tested positive for COVID-19 on the 9th of November.
Mr. Chiranjeevi said his earlier test result was because of a faulty PCR-kit. He had also attached his latest Covid-19 test results with the tweet.
The revelation of the faulty PCR kit came after Chiranjeevi got a CT scan done at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
The CT scan results showed no signs of infection or damage in his lungs, following which he took another test for COVID-19.
The COVID-19 infection test of Chiranjeevi was conducted thrice using three different PCR kits.
In all the three tests, he tested COVID-19 negative.
Based on the three different PCR kit results, the doctors concluded the actor’s initial test report as faulty.
With the clarification over his COVID-19 result and negative reports, Mr. Chiranjeevi is likely to resume the shooting of his upcoming film Acharya.
