Mukesh Goud, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC,) passed away on the 29th of July, in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Mukesh Goud, 60 years old, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills, after his health condition started deteriorating. He was suffering from cancer for a long time and passed away at the hospital today afternoon.
The news of Mukesh’s death came hours after the funeral of Jaipal Reddy, a senior leader of the INC.
Born in 1959, Mukesh entered the world of politics as a Youth INC leader and won his first term as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in 1989.
Goud also served as the Marketing Minister during the tenure of the INC, when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were one state. He also served as the MLA of Goshamahal.
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed his grief regarding the demise and conveyed his condolences to Mukesh Goud’s family.
The last rites of Mukesh Goud are expected to be held on the 30th of July.
