On the 28th of September, Mahesh M. Bhagwat, the Police Commissioner of Rachakonda, launched free ambulance services for poors of the area. 

The ambulance was launched in collaboration with People for Urban and Rural Education (PURE,) a non government organisation (NGO) in collaboration with a youth group named ‘Abhisti.’

During the launch, Mr. Bhagwat appreciated the initiative by PURE. The event was organised and coordinated by Shyla Talluri from the United State of America (U.S.A.)

The ambulance which would be available for poor people free of cost would be parked at the Area Hospital Vanasthalipuram in B.N.Reddy Nagar.  

According to the sources, the service would be extended up to 50 kilometres radius from the hospital for carrying patients to hospitals as well as for last ride services.
