Mr. Vanama Raghava admitted to threatening Ramakrishna that led him to commit suicide along with his family. 

On the 3rd of January, Mr. Ramakrishna poured petrol on his wife and two daughters and set them on fire before killing himself.  The incident led to on spot death of Mr. Ramakrishna, his wife Srilakshmi and Sahitya died on the spot and another daughter Sahithi succumbed to injuries a day later.

After the tragic incident, Ramakrishna’s brother-in-law Janardhan lodged a complaint with the Palwancha police.   The police registered a case against Banana Raghava, under sections 302, 307, 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)  The Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) said Ramakrishna ended life due to the financial issues and harassment from Raghava, Satyavati and Madhavi.  ASP Rohith said, “The police have formed eight special teams to catch the remaining while Ramakrishna was arrested on Friday night at Mandalapalli of Dammapeta.”

In addition, the police said, on the 8th of January, Raghava also admitted to harassing Ramakrishna. All the evidence found was seized and the accused will be produced before the Kothagudem magistrate. A total of 12 cases were registered against Raghava. Investigation will also be carried out in the cases registered in the past, the ASP added.
