The Hyderabad Police, on the 15th of July, solved the murder case of Ram Prasad, a prominent industrialist and steel merchant in Telangana.

A.R. Srinivas, the Deputy Commissioner of Police of West Zone, Hyderabad, introduced the main accused in front of media. The five main accused involved in the murder are Koganti Satyam, Shyam, Prasad, Pritham and Ramu.

The Police said, due to business rivalry and a delay in payment of Rs. 23 crores, Koganti Satyam planned the murder of Ram Prasad. Koganti Satyam, the main accused, confessed, the murder was committed by him, whereas Shyam as per the plan, was trying to mislead the police.

Koganti Satyam was Ram Prasad’s business partner, however, they later separated ways and due to a delay in payment, Satyam planned the murder.

Koganti is also a wanted criminal, as there are 21 cases registered against him with the Police.

Satyam, with the help of his employees Suresh and Anand, followed Ram Prasad to his factory at Parigi, his residence at Khajaguda in Gachibowli and his office at Durganagar in Panjagutta. With the help of Sriram Ramesh, Sheik Azharuddin, P. Naresh and Venkat Ram Reddy, they followed Ram Prasad for a month and figured out, he visits the Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Panjagutta every Saturday.

Satyam hired murderers and promised them to give Rs. 10 lakhs for the same. He paid Rs. 3 lakhs in advance and asked them to execute the murder.

On the 6th of July, when Ram came out of the temple, the accused attacked him on his head with swords and absconded from the spot. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where a doctor declared him brought dead.

The Ram Prasad murder case soon became a sensational one as Ram Prasad was in partnership with a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.) On the other hand, the suspected murderer, Satyam, was associated with the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

After so many days, the Police finally solved the case and booked the accused under Sections 302, 203 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)

They also seized three swords, a Bolero car, one bike and mobiles from the accused.

The Police are still trying to find the accused, whereas police security would be given to the family members of Ram Prasad.
