In the wee hours of the 20th of August, Saturday, Korakoppula Rajender (35,) a Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) worker, was shot dead.
According to sources, unknown persons allegedly shot Korakopulla Rajender in Ganganagar of Godavarikhani. Getting into the details, at 2:00 A.M., two unidentified people wearing helmets entered Rajender’s house and shot him dead using a country-made pistol also known as Katta.
After committing the crime and confirming the death of Rajender, the two accused fled the spot.
The Godavarikhani Police have registered a case and an investigation into the matter is underway. Mr. Giriprasad, the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Godavarikhani, and circle inspectors (CIs) Mr. Ramesh Babu and Mr. Rajkumar are investigating the matter and formed two teams to nab the unidentified accused.
Meanwhile, Korakoppula Rajender was working as General Mazdoor in the RK-7 coal mine in the Srirampur area of the Mancherial district.
