The Supreme Court (SC) is likely to hear the plea of Mr. Y.S. Avinash Reddy, the Member of the Parliament (MP) of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh.

Notably, after skipping several summons of the Hyderabad Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI,) into the Y.S. Vivekananda Murder Case, MP Avinash Reddy filed a petition, seeking anticipatory bail.  It is to be noted, after missing two notices, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) MP Mr. Y.S. Avinash Reddy, skipped the third summon of the 22nd of May, citing his mother’s serious health condition.  Y.S. Avinash Reddy is currently at Kadapa Hospital, where his mother is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward.

Meanwhile, fearing the arrest of Y.S. Avinash Reddy, the MP’s supporters, kept vigil outside Viswa Bharathi Hospital throughout the night.  The fear came after the CBI Hyderabad visited Kadapa and held a meeting with the regional police officials.  Although the CBI did not mention about the arrest, after Y.S. Avinash Reddy skipped the CBI interrogation several times, the leader feared arrest.  In this regard, he also approached the Top Court, seeking protection from arrest.

The Apex Court is scheduled to hear the plea of the YSRCP MP on the 23rd of May, Tuesday.  Besides, filing a petition, Mr. Y.S. Avinash Reddy also wrote to the CBI Hyderabad, asking for an exemption from appearing till the 27th of May.
