Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Animal Husbandry Minister of Telangana, held a review meeting in regard to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the Telugu State.
It is to be noted, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is organising the Ganesh Chaturthi festival on a grand note. Speaking to the media, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav held a meeting with the various departments and Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and other association members in the State.
After the meeting, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav addressed the media and said, “The festival is celebrated in a grand manner in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.”
Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said, about 35,000 idols would be installed in the three commissionerates including Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda.
In view of the Green Ganesh initiative, the GHMC would be distributing four lakh eco-friendly Ganeshas, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) would give away one lakh and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) would distribute another one lakh idols.
The Ganesh Chaturthi festival would start with Chaturthi on the 31st of August and would end with a mass immersion on the 9th of September on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi.
Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that Hyderabad was among the top when it comes to Ganesh Festival celebrations in the country. He said, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, says any festival should be celebrated in a grand manner. Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said, “The Government will make all the arrangements without any obstructions and with the support of all sections including Balapur Utsav Samithi, Secunderabad Utsav Samithi, Khairatabad Utsav Samithi and Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi.”
Speaking about the arrangements, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said, the GHMC has made arrangements, ensuring that devotees should have smooth ‘darshan,’ especially at the most popular Khairatabad Ganesh.
In addition, the Civic Bocfy would construct 50 ponds in the City, in addition to the existing 25 ponds, for the immersion of idols. In addition, cranes, lighting, generators, yard swimmers and other necessary arrangements would also be made available in the idol immersion areas.
The minister said that 8,000 GHMC staff would be on duty in three shifts on the day of Ganesh immersion on the 9th of September.
Members of the Utsava Committee and the public have also been requested to cooperate to ensure the peaceful conduct of Ganesh Utsav.
Meanwhile, after the arrangements would be completed, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav would visit Khairatabad Pandal along with the officials on the 24th of August and supervise the arrangements.
