On the 27th of May, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister of Telangana, conducted a meeting with a few celebrities of the Telugu film Industry.
This is the third meeting between the Cinematography Minister and Tollywood celebrities regarding the impact of the Novel Coronavirus, pandemic crisis in Tollywood cinema. Producers C. Kalyan, Dil Raju, Director N. Shanker, MAA (Movie Artists Association) president Mr. Naresh and others participated in the meeting.
In the last such meeting, Talasani Srinivas Yadav assured the resumption of post production in the Tollywood industry from the first week of June.
Mr. Yadav during the meeting stated that the Telangana Government would soon draft a policy which would ensure prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus with the resumption of work in the Cinema industry.
In addition, the newly drafted policies would also support the growth of the Telugu film industry. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said, “The television and film industries are facing huge losses due to the lockdown. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, at a meeting with industry personalities last Friday, discussed issues related to the industry. I promise you that the government would come up with a policy to boost the growth of the industry and its workers, who are directly or indirectly affected by the coronavirus outbreak.”
The State minister would also conduct a meeting on the 28th of May with the concerned officials to discuss the rules and guidelines, leading to the resumption of the film shootings soon.
However, a final call regarding the shootings would be taken by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, after the lockdown, which is scheduled to end on the 31st of May.
Meanwhile, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who is constantly looking into the issues faced by the film industry in Telangana, on the 28th of May distributed essential ration to 14,000 cine workers.
The donation of rice, pulses and other adabel were done under the Talasani Trust, run by Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
Actors, directors and celebrities like Nagarjuna, Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Dil Raju, N Shankar, S Radhakrishna, Abhishek Nama and few others took part in the charity event, organised on the 28th of May.
